Are there any property tax assitance programs out there?

Are there any property tax assitance programs out there? I have only seen programs available for the elderly and disabled. I’m behind on my property taxes and need assistance. I’m a single parent trying to make ends meet. Please H.E.L.P

The only help that I am aware of, anymore, are payment plans.
Please note; Your regular property taxes can fall behind and the County may not foreclose on your home until you taxes are five years or more deliquent. Please check and confirm this with your County Tax Collectors office, but this is typical. HOWEVER, what most do not understand is that Bonds are different. If you have Bonds, or in California they are often referred to by their original authors, Mello-Roos, these are what is known as “pass though taxes”, or Ad valorem taxes (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ad_valorem_tax )and your home can be foreclosed on for these taxes after just one year.

There are no easy answers to this. However, I do know that most tax collector offices are pretty good about allowing for a payment plan that may help in some peoples cases.
